No Brownie Babies Yet

I was blessed with Brownie and her 'Brood' making their appearance a little earlier than usual! The lighting was perfect to get some great close-ups. They all looked healthy. I didn't see any limping and that bot fly wasn't on Brave One's leg anymore. The little ones faces are changing so fast. Thankfully they are visiting on a more regular basis but I still do not see all those other deer who fed in the winter. I did see Bandit and Bossy's Boy the other night and Runt hiding in the woods with her twins during the day but that is it; the other 20 have chosen to remain secluded. I pray all of my deer stay safe and sound from those stray dogs and no little fawns are attacked. So far, so good!

Wonderful shots! They are gorgeous. It is so neat that you name them and can tell them apart, I wish we had some regular visitors like them. =)

I love to see the deer! Unfortunately around here it's usually while I'm driving on the freeway and I see them up in the hills! Thanks for the pictures. They look beautiful.

jan, i use the canon rebel xti and photoshop elements, but pop over to 'a new england life'...i think that is the name (i don't follow it anymore) but her shots are superior to anyone's i have seen and she lists her camera on her blog. thanks to all of you for your lovely comments!

Yes, excellant photos! I don't know how you keep all their names straight! I really like Brownie, very beautiful! Can't wait til she has her baby!

I love them, they are so sleek and healthy looking. Why do the words Bot Fly just make me itch all over? Ick.

Your pictures are so nice. What a large group you have. I am praying right along with you that the dogs leave them alone.

Beautiful! Look at those fat little momma tummies! Ours should start having babies here soon. We had an old doe deliver 2 babies practically in our front yard last year during a terrible T-storm. The boys got to watch and they were amazed. We named them Thunder and Lightning.
