Fascinating Fawns

Evidently, last evening was fawn time! I was given the pleasure of seeing four babies! Brownie and Bossy continue to hide their twins but Beauty's light colored baby tagged along, Long Tail and her twins made an appearance, and I couldn't tell who the other belonged to as it hopped around visiting everyone, but I think it was Sunny (Brave One's fawn). The good husband brought home dinner and was able to see these spectacular little things cavorting around the corn yard while driving down the lane. I had no desire to go in to eat so I stayed in the field surrounded by these amazing creatures watching and learning more about their personalities. Blue whined with envy as he wasn't getting any attention, but Jessie was content to cool off in front of her fans.
Hi, Mom, got milk?
Grammie Brownie, you love me don't you!

Aunt Cocoa, how come you don't 'got milk'?
Uncle Nub, you are very nice to me and do not push me away like Aunt Cocoa!

Hi Mom!

Love you, Mom!

Can I come play with your twins Long Tail?

I think that is Beauty's baby with Long Tail's twins

Time for bed!

I think it's so neat that you get close enough and are observant enough to tell these deer apart. I love how you learn about their personalities too. Most people would just drive by and glance at them and say "oh look, deer." :-)

The fawns are beautiful and they look so healthy and happy in your fields. They are lucky to have a home there. I could also just sit and watch them for hours. Your pictures are lovely as usual. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Wonderful! There just is nothing like country life and being able to appreciate it. That is what is so cool about these blogs, it brings people together that love the same things. Thanks for this series of pictures Kritter Keeper and the sweet story that topped off my night. I started with Gladys and the girls at Dog Trot and ended here!!!

As always so cool! I wonder what they will be like next year, if they will come back as their parents do? Is that what they usually do?

I looked out my bathroom window yesterday morning at 5am.. it was still dark, and I saw the silhouette of two deer very close in my front year.. I could not get a picture, as it was still dark, and I am trying to figure out what setting to use on my new camera.. to bad, as I viewed them through viewer.. I had some really close up shots.

I am loving summer, as so are you!

So glad you stopped by my place! I have adored your blog for a long time..probably because you love critters like me. You are so lucky to live where you do to see these beautiful deer. :) I envy you. Oh and thanks for the heads up on the kitty forehead...not going there anymore. LOL! Oh and no thats not my arena. That's just where I train...stables where my trainer has her horses. I am hoping to get my own horse soon myself! :)

Thanks for adding me to your blog roll!!

xoxo
