My British Babe!

Jessie was very excited to celebrate the marriage of William and Catherine now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.  Wasn't Princess Catherine amazing?  After seeing all of the hats, Jessie wanted one of her own.  How could I deny her?
Look how demure she looks! :-)

Jessie! Be careful, you'll tear your pretty white ties!
Don't worry Blue, you will have a hat of your own soon....
Jessie couldn't wait till Mama ended this silliness so she could roll in the mud and graze.
Daddy Cat, stop looking at the pretty hat with such disdain!  Do you want one?
I guess getting up that early has taken it's toll....lol! I originally purchased hats for them to wear on Derby Day and will make Big Bad Blue one of his own so you will have to visit next Saturday to see it.  Ohhhh yea, he is going to wear a hat whether he likes it or not...all horses must celebrate Derby Day!  Blue you can do it!

I love the hat--In fact, I have to say that I think it looks a lot better than the one Princess Beatrice was wearing--Unless, if of course you like a hat like she wore.....

I hope you have a good weekend!!

Jessie looks classy in her new hat! She sure is calm to have the hat on her head...my horses would have totally freaked out and the goats would have eaten the flowers!

I'm so glad I came by for a visit, and to see your British Babe. Babe indeed.... what a hat!! This post is too cute for words. It's about time for my long-eared girls to don their party hats again for their mid-May b-days. The last time we tried that, they were nibbling on each others' fancy headgear!

Love this post! Thanks for stopping by to see us too ;) Enjoy the weekend!! -Tammy

Wow now that is something I haven’t seen before, she looks very sweet, I’ve never put a hat on any of my horses but maybe Niko would look good in a top hat.

Her hat is gorgeous and I can't think of a better reason for her to wear it than to commemorate the royal wedding. She can wear it again on Derby Day - no one will remember that they saw her in it before!

Your photos are wonderful. It looks like you have an animal lover's dream life : ) Sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Losing those we love is so difficult. I lost mine recently and have found that writing does indeed help. Glad I stopped by during the Blog Hop : )

Indeed, we girls never step outside the barn door without our bonnets on. But that hat, oh my! It is simply divine! Yours truly, Fiona Goosefeathers

So nice to meet you, I love your state, we pass through it a few times a year and I am always overwhelmed by the natural beauty. As a child I wanted nothing more than a horse, but now, Here I am with lots of land a huge barn and no longer a desire for the horse! I do have a pretty cute donkey though. Jeri

OK, that is the cutest thing ever. After I watched the derby, I vowed that the very next day I was going to waeve tulips and daffodils in Lilly's mane and parade her around and take lots of pictures. Well, what did I do? I plum forgot less than 24 hours after making this vow! So I am doubly glad to see this post of your horse wearing this most fabulous and colorful hat. I think celebrating a fairytale wedding too is a perfect excuse for wearing a big ole hat!! I also agree with C and C Antiques--kudus to Jessie for tolerating her hat so beautifully! I am not sure if my Lilly would like such a thing on her head one bit!
