Memories on Monday

Memories on Monday came from reading Jan's Place and JAM's blogs. What a neat idea. I got today's idea from reading Pony Girl's Saturday entry who's dad celebrated a birthday, JAM's Monday entry who's dad drove them to a memorable concert and Don't Make Me Get My Monkey's post who just lost her father. So much talk about dads... So, since I lost Daddy suddenly due to a heart attack February 13, 2008, I thought maybe it is time to post about him. I am just going to upload some photos. It is easier that way. The next to the last photo is during the last days that I shared with him...he and Mom spent the Christmas holiday with us. His photos showed such happiness which was odd, as he wasn't feeling well at all and seemed down. I love the cross that I had done at the florist for his funeral...He is with Jesus and in Heaven. I like to think he is having fun with his deceased loved ones. I especially like to think he and Uncle Beanie are have a great time walking in the woods as they loved to spend time together when we visited Vermont. May God rest his beautiful soul.

Such a handsome man, and you are right, he does look very happy in the last photo you took of him. Sometimes I think they know a lot more than they let on at the end of life.

I so feel for you, losing your Dad! He looks such a lovely man, if you have had a special relationship with your Dad, there is nothing better! I miss mine too, but he died in 1986, he was such a good man and adored my Mother, I was his only child.
